When I saw round plates standing in the rack in the goods photo I opinion this rack would work fine. After using the dish rack once with various sized dishes I've determined they must have glued the larger plates in place for the photograph! I am so disappointed this constructor hasn't done a best design job and in Amazon for not testing this product. What a waste of money. I will be sending it back. My supper plates are 10" round and somewhat thin. Small cereal bowls don't stand up either. I should add that the rack itself seems to be of good quality. possibly this rack would work best with quadrilateral or rectangular plates. Addendum: The day after I wrote this spin my wife had used the rack one more time and she settled a handcrafted pottery bowl which was quite high-priced on the rack. The rack collapsed and the irreplaceable bowl fell to the floor and broke into complicated pieces. Wow, no I'm even more disappointed! If I could rate this goods a zero; I would.Please Check Update Here!!
